Top 10 Darkwave and Gothwave Albums in 2019
Today we focus on Darkwave, identified by striking synths and dance tempos, becoming ever popular on dancefloors. Gothwave blends classic goth guitar sounds with signature darkwave synths and appears to be a new blend that really solidified as a sub genre in it’s own right in releases this year. Check out our picks for best of Darkwave and Gothwave.

A D O R N S release new 7" vinyl and announce a mini-tour
Brooklyn darkwave newcomers A D O R N S premiere their upcoming 7” vinyl single With What Sacrifice, available in February of 2020. This three piece was formed in summer of 2018, and embodies an alternative take on darkwave with coldwave, goth, and dreampop elements. The two tracks on the new 7” are pure catchy darkness, powered by Darcy’s uniquely strange and smooth vocals.
“A D O R N S began in the summer of 2018 attempting to blend electronic music with waves of goth, post-punk and darkwave. Their approach is subtle and it appears there no concern about how things progress, no timelines to follow, no objectives to complete. For fans of Cocteau Twins, Sisters of Mercy, Soft Cell and Kraftwerk.”
They will also be kicking off a mini-tour this week, so look for them in your area.
