Sonsombre is back and this time better than ever with the release of their new music video “Lights Out”, the first single off their upcoming album One Thousand Graves. If you’re not familiar with the Goth rock band; Sonsombre is well-known for their hits “In This Fog”, and “Fear” and“The Future Is Black“ of their sophomore album The Veils of Ending. This is the first music video to be released under the record label Cleopatra records. The music video stars Brandon Pyrbus (vocalist, guitarist, and founding member of Sonsombre) and the other wonderful members of Sonsombre are showcased in this video.
The video starts with swinging bulbs of light and if you pay close attention, you can see Brandon in the background blending in with the darkness. During the song, you see Brandon as well as the other members of the band in various shots throughout the video. There are also a few scenes where flashing lights are shown. If you have epilepsy or are prone to seizures due to flashing lights please be careful when watching this video.
To longtime fans of the band, the release of this music video is worth the wait. Currently, there is no confirmation through Cleopatra or Brandon regarding a release date for their new album, other than early 2020. You can find and stream Sonsombre’s music on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Play Store.
My review: Lights Out is defiantly becoming one of my favorite songs from them. From Brandon's vocals and energy from the music video alone, this song is defiantly an incredible way to end the year and what to expect from their upcoming album in 2020.
